Demo competitions
This year the demo competition is split into two categories - low-end and high-end.
Basically demos for oldschool and mobile platforms as well as lower-end PCs go into the low-end compo and demos for high-end PCs and current game consoles go into the high-end compo. If you're unsure which compo your demo belongs to, just ask us.
The organisers may move entries from one demo compo to the other.
Maximum file size is 64MB for high-end entries and 8MB for low-end entries.
Time limit is 8 minutes.
See supported platforms below.

Tiny intro competition
This competition is basically a 4K intro compo, but the size of the entry will be shown on the big screen and you're also encouraged to make an intro below 4K.
Maximum file size is 4096 bytes.
Time limit is 5 minutes.
See supported platforms below.
Video/animation competition
Submit your entry in a format that is playable by VLC media player.
Time limit is 8 minutes.
Music competitions
This year we have the same music categories as before, dance and listening music.
A preselection will be conducted by compo organisers if the number of entries exceeds 10 in one category.
Submit as MP3/OGG with a bitrate of at least 160kbps.
You may include additional versions of the track also in other formats.
Time limit is 4 minutes.
Spoken word competition
The entry has to consist mostly of human voice and while it may contain musical elements and singing, as a whole it must not be a song.
Submit as MP3/OGG.
Time limit is 4 minutes.
Graphics competition
This is not a photo competition - pure photos/photo manipulations are not allowed. You may use photos in entry, but the picture must be primarily made of drawn or rendered elements.
Submit in PNG format together with at least 3 plausible working stages.

General
Any entries that may not comply with the finnish law will be disqualified.
The competition organisers reserve the right to change the compo rules at any time and disqualify any entries for any reason they feel is appropriate.
Remote entries are only allowed in demo and intro competitions. If would like to enter one, send us a link to it before the first day of the party. No prizes will be paid for remotely entered productions.
In the case of very small amount of entries, two competitions may be combined. However, we think this is very unlikely.
The best way to contact the compo crew is to email the main competition organiser at raimo@streamparty.org.
